From August 25 to 29, 2025, the Poznań Congress Center at the Poznań International Fair will become the global hub of crystallography. This is where the 35th European Crystallographic Meeting (ECM35) – one of the most important scientific events dedicated to this field – will take place.

This year’s edition has a special character. The conference was originally planned to be held in Lviv, but due to the ongoing war, it has been relocated to Poznań, which proudly assumed the role of host.

A rich program and special events

ECM35 will feature:

  • plenary lectures and keynote speeches,

  • as many as 48 microsymposia, enabling specialists to exchange knowledge and experience,

  • meetings and scientific sessions for experts from around the world.

There will also be an event open to the public. On August 28, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., at the III High School (ul. Strzelecka 10), a special lecture will be delivered by Prof. Andrzej B. Więckowski, PhD, DSc, on the Poznań period in the life of Max von Laue – the only Nobel Prize laureate associated with our city.

Science and solidarity beyond borders

ECM35 is not only a prestigious scientific meeting. It is also a symbol of international cooperation, solidarity, and the exchange of ideas that transcend national boundaries. Hosting the event in Poznań proves that the Poznań International Fair is a place open to science, innovation, and dialogue at the highest global level.
